Xinhua news agency, Kuala Lumpur, February (Xinhua Lin Hao Chen Xiaowen) (reporter Lin Hao Chen Xiaowen) Malaysia government announced on 8, the cold rolled stainless steel imported from China, South Korea and Thailand and other countries and regions expropriation of anti-dumping duties.
In a statement, the Ministry of international trade and industry of Malaysia said that the government of Malaysia, through the anti-dumping investigation, decided to impose anti-dumping duties on cold rolled stainless steel imported from mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand for a period of 5 years, from February 8, 2018 to February 7, 2023.
The statement said that the anti-dumping investigation was launched in May 2017 because a Malaysia iron and steel enterprise appealed on behalf of the local cold rolled stainless steel industry, accusing the countries or regions of dumping their products in Malaysia far below the internal market prices.
The statement also announced the anti-dumping duty rate. In view of Chinese mainland enterprises, Shanxi TISCO stainless steel products will be charged 2.68% anti-dumping duty, and other enterprises will be charged 23.95% anti-dumping duty. The highest anti-dumping duty rate faced by enterprises in Taiwan, Korea and Thailand is 111.61%.
